As we find ourselves coming into the second half of an unprecedented year, I want to reach out to share some things that have been happening in our Pinal community but also Association-wide. When COVID-19 hit, I think we all thought that things were going to slow down. Well, I don’t know about you, but it seems that life slowed for about two seconds and then sped right back up, at least in the world of real estate! Yes, we had to adapt and adjust to the way we do business. I’m proud of our fellow Pinal REALTORS® for continuing to serve home buyers and sellers in this market.

In efforts to maintain open communication and share best practices, we’re conducting a handful of Pinal broker Zoom meetings. We discuss challenges brokerages are facing along with how they’re helping to protect their agents and clients. The Pinal County Chapter will be hosting another call in the upcoming weeks as an update to see how brokerages are doing now.

As you know, we put many of our annual events on hold; however, we’re moving forward with a few of them. This year, our REALTOR® Memorial Run will benefit the Alliance Cancer Support Center. We’re hosting a virtual 5k where members and the community can register and pledge to run a 5k within a specified time frame. Watch our email and calendar for more details. We scheduled our annual golf tournament in April of 2021. We’re currently discussing the yearly luncheon and how that will look this year. As the number of cases for COVID-19 continues to drop, we’ll reassess and begin incorporating more activities and events for our members.

Additionally, WeSERV held a virtual blood drive and food drive that helped each of the four Chapters and their local food banks. WeSERV continues to offer an array of online classes. I encourage everyone to check out our WeSERV website, www.pinal.weserv.realtor or www.weserv.realtor, to view all the incredible resources at your fingertips.

Finally, if you or someone you know is interested in serving our REALTOR® community, please reach out. The Pinal County Chapter Council has a few 2021-2022 leadership openings. It’s an invaluable opportunity to help our community and our REALTORS®.

Thank you, everyone, for making this such a great community. If you need anything, feel free to reach out to our Chapter Council Members or me.
