Have You Fulfilled the NAR Code of Ethics Training?

Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics

The National Association of REALTORS® says you must TAKE IT! Code of Ethics is not just a required course for NAR membership; it sets REALTORS® above the standard.

  • Heightens member awareness of the key tenets of the Code of Ethics
  • Creates awareness of and appreciation for the role the Code can and should play in their professional lives
  • Enhance professionalism and competency
  • Encourages REALTORS® to view their Code of Ethics as a living, viable guide in their daily dealings with clients, customers and the public
As of January 1, 2001, the National Association of REALTORS® requires all REALTORS® to complete a 2 1/2 hour course on ethics based on their cycle schedule. December 31, 2024, brings the end of the current three-year cycle.

The Code of Ethics requirement is a membership requirement, not an Arizona real estate license renewal requirement. The Arizona Department of Real Estate is a separate entity and doesn't notify us if you attended a Code of Ethics course.

If you attend a Code of Ethics with WeSERV, we already have a copy of your certificate. If you attend a Code of Ethics class with any other school, please email a copy of your completion certificate to education@weserv.realtor.

Additional Code of Ethics Information

New Members

All new WeSERV members are asked to complete a Code of Ethics class within their first 90-days of membership. Attend the New Member Orientation & NAR Code of Ethics course at WeSERV FREE of charge. You'll also earn 3 hours of Commissioner's Standards continuing education credit for your ADRE license renewal. If you're not able to attend the class in-person, you can take NAR REALTOR® Code of Ethics New Member Course online. This course is free and does not offer CE credit.

Are you transferring from another association and have completed the Code of Ethics after January 1, 2022? Please submit a copy of your certificate when you join WeSERV.

Failure to fulfill this requirement will result in termination of membership until the class is taken and reported to WeSERV. Access to MLS, TransactionDesk®, zipForm®, LockBox Key, eSign, DocuSign, and other Association benefits will also be inactivated. We strongly encourage you to take a NAR approved Code of Ethics class and submit it to WeSERV before the due date.
